ELDERLY people's charity Age Concern will be ending weekly advice sessions in Slaithwaite and Honley.

The sessions began in both villages in 1999 and allowed elderly people to seek help and information about a wide range of issues.

But Age Concern is now stopping the sessions because not enough people are attending.

The sessions will finish on April 2.

Advice sessions will still be available at the Crossroads Centre in Meltham on Tuesdays from 10am to 12.30pm.

In Marsden, the sessions will stay but will move from Thursdays to Tuesdays.

The change will take place from April 6.

The sessions will be held from 2pm to 4pm at the Information Point at Peel Street.

Anyone who wants to contact Age Concern about the closures can do so by calling 01484 535994.
