A power cut brought problems for West Yorkshire rail passengers today.
The cut hit Leeds station and meant that all display boards and signs were plunged into darkness shortly before 9am.
Network Rail staff have been drafted in to tell passengers details of services coming into and leaving the station, including those on the Huddersfield line.
A spokesman said: "The station signalling has not been affected and all services are running, but we are having to make verbal announcements about trains as all display boards are down".
Network Rail have estimated that power will not be restored till tomorrow morning (4/4), so passengers are advised to make any journeys during daylight as the station may be closed if there isn't enough light to illumninate passenger areas.
The power cut also hit parts of the city centre.
