A FORMER coaching inn is set for a £250,000 facelift after being sold to a pub company.

The Woolpack at Whitley has been bought by Laurel Pubs.

The price was not disclosed, but the asking price was £590,000.

The pub, which has a bar, dining area and 15 bedrooms, was sold by brother and sister Colin and Alyson McGurran.

Following the sale, the pub closed for refurbishment. It is due to re-open on May 24.

The pub was sold through the Harrogate office of property agents Colliers Robert Barry.
