THERE was more shouting and screaming than usual when Scissett CE First School held its summer fair.

A noise meter became the centre of attraction as it measured the bellows of teachers, parents and pupils.

School secretary Terry France won the accolade of having the loudest voice.

Away from the commotion, there was a gym display by pupils, a mini garden competition, a fancy dress parade, games and stalls.

The event is expected to have raised more than £2,000 for the Parent, Teacher and Friends' Association.

The school is saving up for an interactive white board.
