A DERELICT house was set alight in Fartown.
Huddersfield firefighters were called to the blaze on Woodhouse Road in the early hours of Friday morning.
The fire had ripped through an upstairs bedroom in the empty house.
It caused the windows to smash and the flames were coming out of the building.
Nobody was inside the property but fire crews believed someone had been sleeping rough.
The bedroom was completely gutted by the flames.
The blaze is being treated as suspicious.
