The BBC tried to blame sound issues relating to Happy Valley series two on the Yorkshire dialect — and us Yorkshire folk were having none of it! Proud Yorkshireman Mike Shaw, a retired journalist who dealt with Yorkshire folk all his working life, decided to issue his own response to the BBC — read out in the video above by the Examiner's Helen Roberts. Speedo Shy backs #HandsOffHRI... in his underwear

In one of the more eye-opening videos of the campaign so far, Huddersfield prankster Speedo shy stripped down to his trunks outside the Huddersfield Royal Infirmary to film a video backing #HandsOffHRI. He said "A lot of people had asked me to get involved and to do a video for the campaign. I want to use my social media followers to help the campaign... hospital security moved me on twice, but I persevered - even though it was very cold."

His interested in magic started age 12 — and now Dewsbury magician Adam Patel is set to star in his own TV series. The 30-year-old pharmacist had put his tricks aside while he studied at the University of Bradford, but is set to begin filming a four-part street magic series in April. Definitely more wonderful than weird, our video of Huddersfield Railway Station’s Senior Pest Controller, Felix the Cat, won her global fans as the adorable moggy made headlines around the world. Felix the Huddersfield Railway Station cat made the news in Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Netherlands, and saw her Facebook followers more than double, with swaithes of adoring international fans posting on her wall.
