A HEARTFELT plea has gone out from a man with a family rift.

He wants to be reunited with his sisters to celebrate a milestone birthday.

Harry Riley has not seen his older sisters Mary Archer and Amy Craven for more than 60 years.

The siblings fell out at a family wedding, but Harry, who is 90 on July 31, is now keen to trace them and heal the rift.

“I would love to see them and think about them all the time,” said Harry, who lives with his 88-year-old wife Amy in Langlea House residential home in Hipperholme.

“It was a silly fallout at the time, I can’t remember what over now, I think it was at a wedding, but it’s now time to sort it out.”

Harry and Amy were married in Thornton, Bradford, 63 years ago and lived in Shelf, Halifax.

Harry worked at the former Websters Brewery in Halifax.

His sister Mary will be 96 on August 10. She lived in Roberttown. Amy is 92.

Anyone who can help reunite Harry with his sisters can contact the home on 01422 205795.
