A CLEANER has been banned from driving for three years after hitting another car while drunk.

Julie Tebble, 36, was seen ‘nudging’ a vehicle as she parked her Ford Fiesta on Blackhouse Road at Fartown.

A witness called police who gave her a roadside breath test.

The test showed that she had 98 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, almost three times over the legal limit of 35 micrograms.

Tebble, of Rowley Hill in Fenay Bridge, was arrested following the incident on August 6.

Huddersfield magistrates were told that she had a similar previous conviction from June 2007.

As well as disqualifying her for three years, they made her subject to a community order for 12 months.

This includes a curfew for eight weeks between 7pm and 5am so she can work.

Tebble was also ordered to pay £85 costs and that she has to attend the drink impaired drivers programme.
