VISITORS to one of the UK's biggest theme parks will be tagged and tracked by a network of cameras.

The revolutionary system at Alton Towers will tighten security while also providing a personalised DVD for guests.

Staff at the Staffordshire theme park will fit entrants with wristbands containing tiny radio frequency identification chips in the ultimate Big Brother system.

Guests will be watched as they use the park and will be filmed on rides.

At the end of the day they will be given the option to buy the footage on a personalised DVD.

Technology experts at Venue Solutions, the firm behind the project, say it will also make the park more secure, with the tags used to track lost children and cut crime.

Venue Solutions joined forces with Sony to provide the system, called Your Day.

Al Page, from Your Day, said: "It will involve cameras being strategically placed along the paths of rides and at prime photo-opportunity locations."
