THE home of the former owner of Newsome Mills went up in smoke today.
Firefighters were called to the house, at the rear of the derelict mill, at 4.02pm today.
The home, next to the mill which has been empty for more than a decade, was said by fire crews to be fully alight.
Tackling the fire were two engines from Huddersfield and one each from Brighouse and Elland.
