A FIRE tore through a derelict building in Liversedge on Friday afternoon.
Firefighters spent more than two hours at the old Dye Works on Halifax Road tackling the blaze.
Almost half of the building was affected by the fire, with two floors badly damaged by the blaze.
There was a chance that the other half of the building was at risk as firefighters tried to contain the fire.
Four fire crews from Dewsbury and Brighouse stations were called by passers-by at 1.58pm after smoke billowed from the building.
Crews were at the scene for more than two hours battling the flames.
Six firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were helping to bring the fire under control using five large jets.
