A FAMOUS helicopter dating back to the 1960s will be one of the attractions at a gala this weekend.
The West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service Gala will feature a Hiller 12-E4 helicopter which appeared in the James Bond movie Goldfinger.
The gala will be staged at the fire service headquarters, which is at the junction of Bradford Road and Leeds Road in Birken- shaw.
It is less than two miles on Leeds Road from Junction 26 of the M62 at Chain Bar.
The gates open at 11.45am on Saturday and entry is £1 for adults and free for children under 16.
All adults will receive a raffle ticket with their programme and could win a DVD player or 3G video mobile phone.
People will be able to have rides on a miniature fire engine called Little Dennis which has blue lights and squirts water.
The day has been organised by the Birkenshaw Village Association and the fire service.
Firefighters will be using their firefighting and rescue skills when they show how they tackle incidents ranging from chip pan fires to road accidents, in the main drill square.
