WINDOWS have been donated to the new children’s hospice in Huddersfield.

Brighouse-based window company Quickslide donated the fittings to the Brackenhall site of the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.

Managing director Adrian Barraclough said: “It’s such a great feeling to be able support such a fantastic project.

“We will support the Forget Me Not Trust wholeheartedly in their efforts to make a difference for these special children.”

The Trust is currently raising funds to provide specialist care for terminally-ill children from Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield. The vast majority of funds rely heavily on fundraising, charity retail and community activity.

Head of Fundraising, Sarah Herrett, is urging everybody living locally to get involved and make a difference.

She said: “Whoever you are or whatever resources you can contribute, we will have a project that you can get involved with”.
