A HUDDERSFIELD company is supporting help for needy people in Africa.

Research company The Leadership Factor, based in Taylor Hill, raised £1,340 for the Christian African Relief Trust.

Cart is a Lockwood-based charity which sends aid to poverty-stricken areas of Africa.

The Leadership Factor has supported Cart for the past two years.

This year, it held two major fundraising events - a beetle drive and barbecue in July and a quiz event this month.

The beetle drive raised £340 and the quiz night £1,340.

Both were held at Longley Park Golf Club, at Aspley, which was provided free of charge for the events.

The Leadership Factor also has a scheme where employees donate all money they would have spent on Christmas cards for their colleagues to Cart.

Instead of sending a card, they put their Christmas message on stickers and place them on a wall hanging in The Leadership Factor office.
