SEVEN Huddersfield Town fans charged with football related disorder or affray will have their case heard at Crown Court next year.

Trouble flared following violent scenes in Huddersfield on Saturday May 19 – the day of the Championship play-off final.

The violence kicked off at Westgate and around the Hart Pub at Market Street.

It then continued in the railway station before spilling on to the tracks.

British Transport Police said the mayhem caused by the yobs cost many thousands of pounds in damage and lost earnings because of the train delays.

The seven have appeared at Leeds Crown Court and had their case listed for a plea and case management on Thursday, January 3.
