The former Kirklees College building in New North Road was used extensively in the show.
It was used as Millthorpe Lodge care home; Tom's bedroom; the Police headquarters and portable building; the hospital and the morgue.
The building, which was vacated by the college last year, was also used as a filming location for a new Sheridan Smith drama called Black Work in October.
Ben Sweet, from North Light Film Studios, said: "It is another coup for the town. One of the things we are trying to is to promote the Huddersfield area for its locations as well as the studios and it is working.
“The former college has been used before and it is perfect for the production team."
