FORMER MP George Galloway is to speak in Yorkshire to help launch the European collection campaign for Respect, the Unity Coalition, which is standing in Yorkshire and the Humber.
Respect is a new coalition which has come out of the stop the war movement. The group also says it stands for real democracy, an end to privatisation, protection for the environment, a decent deal for pensioners , abolition of anti trade union laws and an end to the scapegoating of asylum seekers.
Mr Galloway, who was expelled from by Labour over his opposition to the wall in Iraq, heads the list of Respect candidates for the London European elections.
Meetings will be held in Sheffield (Sun, April 25), Leeds (Mon, April 26) and York (Fri, April 30).
