Huddersfield X Factor songstress Carolynne Poole has tied the knot with cricketer fiancé David Willey.

The 36-year-old, who used to live in Birkby, married the 26-year-old sports star at a ceremony in Leeds at the weekend.

Former Corrie actress Lucy Jo Hudson was bridesmaid and attended alongside husband Alan Hansall, who plays Tyrone in the soap.

Lucy Jo’s brother Ryan has previously played for the Huddersfield Giants.

The star-studded ceremony was also attended by Emmerdale actor Natalie Anderson, who used to play Alicia Metcalfe.

Carolynne was a contestant on the juggernaut singing show in 2011, but was eliminated in a sing-off with Rylan Clark, now a well-known daytime TV presenter.

She is currently a country singer with a single out called Take The Keys.

Carolynne told Hello! magazine the ceremony, which was held at Adel Parish Church in North Leeds, was “perfect.”

David, 26, is a batsman and bowler for Yorkshire County Cricket Club and is the son of former England cricketer and umpire Peter Willey.

He told the celebrity magazine: “I was just an emotional wreck. She looked stunning. It was the best day of my life.”
