A WEST Yorkshire Police squad has won a top award. The Financial Investigation Unit has won the first Keith Hughes Award for excellence in financial investigation. The award is named after Keith Hughes, who died from cancer in 2003. He was a member of the National Crime Squad's Money Laundering Investigation Team. The West Yorkshire team has earned a reputation for achieving the highest standards of integrity and professionalism and has set up several schemes to catch major fraudsters.
