A public lecture in Huddersfield will explore cloning as scientific reality rather than sinister fiction.

Dr Dougie Clarke, a lecturer at the University of Huddersfield, will speak about the massive advances that have been made in cloning animals, cells and DNA.

The talk, entitled Cloning and You, is free and open to all. It is part of a series of lectures organised by the University of Huddersfield’s School of Applied Sciences.

According to Dr Clarke, a molecular biologist, cloning can save animal species from extinction.

The lecture will take place at the University’s Canalside West Lecture Theatre on Wednesday, February 12, starting at 6.30pm.
