FRIENDS' efforts have helped a couple to keep open their fire-hit business.
Owners Brian and Virginia Chester were devastated after arsonists hit their Mirfield building at the weekend.
They thought it would be the end of the road for their Chestville Animal Feeds business.
But they managed to salvage some stock and have shifted to an undamaged part of the building in Newgate, Eastthorpe.
Mrs Chester said: "We were really numb after the fire and didn't know what to do.
"But we have seen the light at the end of the tunnel now. With the help of friends we have managed to keep going."
Arsonists started a fire in the building's empty first-floor fire on Sunday night.
The business was launched two years ago, after Mr Chester was made redundant.
The couple hope to move back into the space they occupied after repairs are made to the building. But one storey may have to be removed.
