TRAFFIC was brought to a standstill for over an hour at a busy roundabout after a collision left petrol spilling out of a van.

Two vans were in collision with each other at the Cooper Bridge roundabout on Monday lunchtime.

The crash left petrol spilling out of one of the vans onto the roadside.

Fire crews from Brighouse station were called out to the incident and had to close the roundabout for an hour as they waited for Kirklees Council to put sand at the scene.
