A FULL scale emergency response was declared on an incoming flight into Leeds Bradford Airport last night.
There was a worry about the brakes of a Boeing 757 plane as it came into land.
There were 160 people on board the flight when the emergency call was received by firefighters before 6pm.
Firefighters from Cleckheaton Station were on their way to join their colleagues at the airport when the emergency was downgraded by the airport fire team.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service explained: “A full scale emergency response was put in place at Leeds Bradford Airport.
“The aircraft had landed and everybody on board was safe and sound. Airport firefighters inspected the plane’s brakes and all were returned to base.”
