THE funeral of a former Huddersfield woman, found dead near Ipswich, late last year was taking place today.

Police said Anneli Alderton (pictured), 24, was being remembered at a service in Ipswich.

She was one of five women believed to have been murdered.

The funerals of the four other women - Tania Nicol, 19, Gemma Adams, 25, Paula Clennell, 24, and Annette Nicholls, 29 - were held earlier this year.

Their bodies were found in isolated locations south of Ipswich in December.

Miss Alderton, who had been living in Harwich, Essex, was the mother of a young boy.

She and her son had been living in Primrose Hill and in Marsden before moving south with her mother two years ago.

Steve Wright, 48, of Ipswich has been accused of five murders.
