THE weekend saw the Upperthong Gala in full swing!
The two-day event included activities for everyone and of all ages.
On Saturday, youngsters could play Quick Cricket, while the local Women's Institute held a tea dance for more mature visitors.
Saturday evening saw the Miss Upperthong competition.
Two junior bands, My Dead Heart and Subliminal, entertained the crowds.
On Sunday, Upperthong School Supporters' Group held a fete-within-a-fete with welly wanging and a karate demonstration.
The Huddersfield Giants mascot enjoyed a walkabout and the youngsters took part a series of races.
The WI was on hand through the weekend to keep gala-goers full of tea and cakes in the village hall.
