THOUSANDS of commuters are stuck on the M62 this morning after an accident closed a stretch of the motorway.
Two vans and a motorbike collided at 5.42am resulting in the complete closure of the M62 eastbound between junction 26 at Chain Bar and junction 27 at Gildersome.

Traffic is now stretching back around 10 miles to junction 23 Outlane with the expected delays to journey times being at least an hour.
Many roads are packed as motorists seek to avoid the jam with the A629 in Huddersfield and Halifax busy close to Ainley Top.
Brighouse is also reportedly packed with motorists nose to tail in sections and the M606 is at standstill in places.
The Highways Agency advise drivers to follow the "hollow circle" diversion route symbols via the A58 and A650 to rejoin the M62 at J27.
