THE Galpharm Stadium has marked its 10th anniversary with a celebratory dinner.

The stadium, known until July as the McAlpine, held the black-tie function on Saturday.

Special guests included Sir John Harman, who helped get the stadium off the ground when he was Kirklees Council leader.

Sir John is now chairman of the Environment Agency.

Also there were former stadium chief executive Paul Fletcher, Kirklees mayor Clr Mary Harkin, Galpharm International chairman Graham Leslie, owner of Huddersfield Town and Huddersfield Giants Ken Davy and stadium managing director Ralph Rimmer.

Entertainment was provided by comedian Johnny Casson and swing band Three Men And A Bass.
