A CONSERVATIVE council candidate has denied any links to the BNP.
It emerged this week that a letter from Mirfield man John Nottingham had appeared in a BNP magazine four years ago. But yesterday the Conservative denied any connection to the far-right party. He said: “I have never been a member of the BNP. I have no idea how the letter in my name was printed in the publication of a party I abhor.” Mr Nottingham is the Conservative candidate for Dewsbury West in the Kirklees Council election which takes place on May 6.
