VOLUNTEERS in wellies are wanted to take part in an environmental project on Sunday.
The Pond Conservation charity is calling on people in Ravensthorpe to help at Lower Spen nature reserve.
It needs people to help sow wildflower seed and transplant plants to a new pond that has been dug.
Jenny Barr, Wildspace! community liaison officer for Pond Conservation, said: "We need people to scatter and trample wildflower seed, or carry buckets of plants from one pond to another.
"This will help to establish a new wildlife habitat in the recently dug pond for this summer.
The event is from 11am to 2pm and people are asked to meet at the footbridge next to the reserve, just off Park Road. Baked potatoes will keep volunteers fed.
