WHILE superstar athlete Paula Radcliffe chases her own world record in London on Sunday, more than 20,000 people across the UK have shown their commitment to getting fit and improving their heart health.

They have signed up for the Flora Family Mara- thon, a health campaign designed to encourage families across the country to get fit and active.

Between them, they have clocked up 250,000 miles during their participation in this unique challenge.

The completion of their last mile will coincide with the gun going off for the Flora London Marathon.

These 20,000 people prove that we are, as a nation, taking the steps to be a little more fit and healthy.

After all, 250,000 miles is not only a lot of calories burned, but accounts for millions of heartbeats that help keep everything flowing just as it should!

With the added motivation of getting emails and text messages from the campaign's four celebrities and their families - Lorraine Kelly, Gordon Ramsay, Sir Steve Redgrave and Blazin' Squad - families across the country have been out pounding the streets for five weeks in their bid to complete this challenge.
