A DEVOTED sister plans to donate one of her kidneys - to help save her brother.
Lesley Rhodes, of Salendine Nook, hopes the gesture will mean a new life for Mark Weavill, who is awaiting a transplant.
And now Lesley, 45, has launched a gruelling fitness programme to try and ensure that if her kidney is a match, she will be fit enough for the operation.
Mr Weavill, of Hillhouse, has already lost the lower part of both his legs to diabetes and has to undergo regular dialysis.
Both siblings are now waiting to hear from doctors if they are compatible.
They will find out next month and hope to go under the knife in the summer.
