FAMILY squabbles are a familiar feature in many homes.

But Leigh and Luke Boustead have never complained despite their brother's illness which has led to sleepless nights, tantrums and a strict diet for the whole family.

Leigh, 11, and Luke, nine, were nominated for a Christmas Wish by their mum Diane.

The family live in Fairfields Road, Holmbridge, and have coped well with three-year-old Reuben's adrenal cancer, communication problems and wheat allergy.

Diane said: "I couldn't begin to explain in enough detail how patient and understanding my eldest two children have been over the last year.

"The whole family has had to change what we eat, especially when their brother does not understand and screams because he has speech development delay.

"They have put up with him being ill for a long time and had to help me around the house and put up with tiredness when he keeps them awake.

"They are completely selfless and try really hard to play and have fun with Reuben.

"We all work as a team and they do much more than average children of their age."

Huddersfield Pendragon Round Table which organises the annual Christmas Wish Campaign with the Examiner wanted to reward the children for their patience and understanding with their young sibling.

So very special presents are on their way to all of them to help their Christmas celebrations.
