ORGANISERS of Golcar’s longest running community event are promising ‘Tradition with a Twist’ as the Golcar Gala celebrates 25 years on June 22.
The gala was one of many events in the town to be cancelled at the last minute last year due to extremely wet weather conditions.
But event organiser Richard Jackson said they were determined to make up for it this year.
“The Gala is celebrating 25 years and is still great value for money.
“Attractions include Bo the Clown and his famous Eco comedy car, donkey rides, a fairground, crafts and charity stalls, ferret racing, vintage vehicles, Huddersfield Scooter Club and live music all day from Whispering Jim and the Huddersfield Youth Brass Ensemble.”
Proceeds from the day will go to The Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice and Parkwood Scout Group.
