HE impressed the judges so much that he got one of them up dancing.

And now Golcar’s Michael Fish is looking forward to taking to the Britain’s Got Talent stage again today after sailing through to the show’s finals.

The 24-year-old’s performance will be watched by millions of viewers tonight when he takes part in the second live semi-final of the week.

And the drummer with a difference is planning something even more spectacular this time around.

Although he can’t reveal many of the details, Michael promises something very special.

“All I can say is that it is the biggest set out of all of them and it looks amazing,’’ he said.

“A lot of people have been involved in putting it together and there’s a lot of stuff going on around me that should get people’s attention.

“Hopefully it will create the same kind of buzz as performances by DJs like David Guetta and Deadmouse.

“It’s a great opportunity to get out there and showcase what I can do.”

Michael is now busy locked in rehearsals ahead of tonight’s show at a London studio.

His was one of the final auditions to be shown on our screens at the weekend.

The former Kirklees Music School student was shown playing his kit – which has customised light up bongos – to an energetic dance track.

Judge David Walliams leapt up and danced along while singer Alesha Dixon commented how much she liked his cool image.

Simon Cowell told him: “I get it, I like you” and all four judges sent him through to the next round.

Despite the positive reactions, Michael says very little of his screen time was aired.

He’s hoping that more filming of him will be shown later on, although he admitted he feels that some other contestants have been given more exposure.

“I was on stage for 10 to 15 minutes,’’ he said.

“Ant and Dec took the mick out of my name and then the judges said they didn’t believe me when I told them my name.

“I told them my sister’s name was Cat Fish which got a laugh out of the crowd.

“They cut all of this out, but at least they showed me in a good light in these few seconds.

“I think it’s clear that the show is pushing certain people to get to the top but I’m not someone who is going to make a platinum selling album.

“But I’ve had some fantastic support from family and friends. I’ve had a lot of positive messages from people on Facebook who have seen me.”

Michael, who has performed in nightclubs in Ibiza, Eqypt and Dubai, will have the support of his mum, sister and girlfriend in the studio audience.

He will be up against strong competition as other performers in his show include popular singing duo Jonathan and Charlotte.

Michael said: “There’s lot of incredible acts this year and I’m going to have some tough competition.

“I wouldn’t say I’m confident of going through to the final or winning, but it’s been a great experience.

“I’m seeing it as an opportunity for a lot more people to see me do my thing, I’m sure the show’s exposure will really help me in the future.”

See how Michael gets on tonight from 7.30pm on ITV1.
