NEWSOME couple Raymond and Nancy Tullett have celebrated their golden wedding.
They celebrated in the sun with a holiday in Tenerife and an open house and family party at their daughter's Newsome home.
Mr and Mrs Tullett, of Newsome Road, met at Lockwood Youth Club when they were 16.
They married at St Stephen's Church, Rashcliffe.
Mr Tullett, 72, was a joiner at L B Hollidays dyeworks in Leeds Road, Deighton for 26 years and at the former Piper buildings in Queen's Mill Lane for nine years.
Mrs Tullett, also 72, was a mender at Borval Fabrics in Albert Street, Lockwood.
They have one daughter and one granddaughter.
Mrs Tullett enjoys reading and cooking and Mr Tullett enjoys crosswords. They asked for money instead of gifts, which is to be given to Kirkwood Hospice, Dalton.
