A SHEEPRIDGE couple have celebrated their golden wedding.

They were engaged two months later and were married on April 4 the following year at Huddersfield register office.

They initially lived in Moldgreen before settling in Sheepridge – and they have lived there for 43 years.

After leaving the Army, Joseph worked in a variety of jobs and Noreen worked as a cap spinner in a mill before becoming a full-time mum.

They will all be helping Joseph and Noreen celebrate their special anniversary this weekend.
