A GOLF club has raised over £1,000 for charity.
The captain, members, customers and staff of the Willow Valley club at Brighouse have collected £1,151 for Yorkshire Kidney Research.
Club captain Paul Hobson nominated it as his charity when he became aware of its importance through the personal experience of Barbara and Roy Morgan.
Their 26-year-old daughter, Jane, benefited from the charity last July, when she received a new kidney.
Martin Oxley a member of Willow Valley, also received a new kidney two years ago.
Dr Andrew Mooney, a consultant, received the cheque on behalf of Yorkshire Kidney Research from Mr Hobson.
