HUDDERSFIELD golfers have raised cash to help people who have suffered strokes.
Members of Longley Park Golf Club took part in a charity tournament and
The stroke unit at St Luke's Hospital, Cros- land Moor, received £740 worth of new equipment.
Members of the Longley women's team presented it to staff.
They handed over two wheelchairs, four gym mats and six cantilever tables, which are used with beds and chairs especially for stroke patients.
The rest of the money will go towards the speech therapy unit at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and to the Leeds-based Candlelighters charity, which helps children with cancer.
