CHILDREN enjoy attending a Denby Dale out-of-school club and learn well there.
That’s the view of Ofsted inspectors after their Early Years inspection of the Gilthwaites First School- based club. They gave it a Good (2) rating, stating:
“Staff provide a good range of stimulating resources, both inside and outdoors.”
“Staff ensure that children are fully involved in all aspects of the club.”
“Children are learning very well how to keep themselves safe and healthy through activities and everyday events.”
“Self-evaluation is thorough.”
They added there is scope to improve written assessments.
The club has seven childcare staff and currently has 73 children attending.
