Make the most of today’s fine weather as it will come to a shuddering halt tomorrow.

That’s the prediction of Salendine Nook weatherman Paul Stevens who says that after today the weather will become very unsettled with gale force winds and downpours tomorrow.

“The next seven to 10 days look decidedly unsettled,” he said.

“Today should see a fair amount of sunshine and it should be a very pleasant day, around 17C with light winds which should be very nice.”

But tomorrow will be a different story with the first autumn low coming in and the temperature dropping to 12C to 13C.

Rain will sweep in accompanied by gusts of winds which could be as strong as 45mph.

That is expected to continue into Monday when the temperature may drop even further to just 9C. Add in squally showers and strong winds and it may well be a day to forget.

For those itching to turn the central heating on this might be the time.

As for talk of an Indian Summer Paul says it is not on the cards at the moment but next month it may be a different story.
