A MAN today paid tribute to his wife, who was killed in a motorcycle crash.
Mrs Gail Greenwood, 37, died at the weekend when her Honda Fireblade motorcycle crashed on a country road near Oldham.
Her husband, Chris, who was riding his own motorcycle at the time, said: "She was a very good motorcyclist.
"She was an experienced biker and was an advanced rider, having taken all the tests. It was a tragic accident."
Mrs Greenwood, who is originally from Pudsey, married Mr Greenwood five years ago after the pair met through a former Huddersfield motorcycle club.
The couple lived in Cowlersley, with Mrs Greenwood's nine- year-old son Adam.
She worked as a care assistant for a Huddersfield firm. Mr Greenwood is a delivery driver.
"She was a very popular person, especially among bikers in Huddersfield," he said. "Everyone knew her and loved her."
Many bikers are expected at Mrs Greenwood's funeral, which will be held on Wednesday, October 29, at 1pm at Huddersfield Crematorium.
