A GROUP of Huddersfield people travelled to Edinburgh to show support for the Make Poverty History campaign.

They joined thousands of others at a mass protest in the Scottish capital, in advance of the G8 summit meeting of leaders of eight wealthy nations.

The protesters are pictured at Huddersfield railway station as they set off.

The group was organised by Stuart and Nicola Lee, of Lindley Methodist Church. They were joined by other Lindley members as well as people from other Methodist churches, including Gledholt and Slaithwaite.
