A RAIL users' group has moved into new premises.
Heidi Mottram, managing director of train operator Northern Rail, officially opened the Slaithwaite office of the Association of Community Rail Partnerships.
She was welcomed by Dr Paul Salveson, association general manager.
The association has more than 40 member groups, bringing together train operators, Network Rail, local authorities, businesses and community groups to offer impartial advice and promote improvements to local and rural railways.
The office at Slaithwaite Civil Hall includes a small shop and information centre.
The opening took place just a few days after Northern Rail began operating the North of England rail franchise, which is responsible for "stopping" trains calling at Slaithwaite station.
The new office will close for Christmas on December 23 and reopen on January 5.
