We're sure most people in Holmfirth would recommend it as a place to live for a myriad of reasons.
But when the Guardian had a go at writing about what makes the town marvellous, residents were not best pleased.
The national newspaper's 'Let's Move To' feature shone a spotlight on Holmfirth earlier this month — but was criticised online for focusing too much on Last of the Summer wine.
It said: "Five years after it stopped being made, Last Of The Summer Wine is still playing in Holmfirth, its unfictional setting... The world’s longest-running TV comedy (so they say, you’d better believe it) has left deep roots here."
It added: "What, I wonder, will happen to the town when the last person who has watched the show finally croaks?"
Commenters on the Guardian website were quick to point out all of Holmfirth's features the article had missed.
User JulesMaigret said: "This just seems to be another in this series where the author went on the internet and pulled together an unconnected series of facts to try to make a coherent case."
Wasserfall added: "Could this series be re-titled: "Let's stay in North London and cobble together a piece about somewhere outside the M25 based on a quick internet search and a few local stereotypes"."
Commenters asked why the story didn't mention the Picturedrome, the Food and Drink Festival, the Folk Festival and Holmfirth's vibrant art scene.
Newcomers to the town also showered it with praise.
Lightfeet said "We have just moved to Holmfirth, people are friendly and helpful, interesting shops, fantastic doctors practice, local markets and festivals throughout the year, all wrapped up in beautiful countryside. What's not to like!"
