A TAXI driver was threatened by two gunmen after he picked up a fare.
The driver picked up two men at Leeds Road, Bradley Mills, at 11.30pm on Saturday evening.
They got into the Toyota Avensis car and threatened the taxi driver with a gun and told him to get out of the vehicle.
The suspects then drove off in the car which was later involved in a crash at Wakefield Road, Grange Moor, and found abandoned at 1.15am.
Police are appealing for witnesses and are looking for two men.
Both men wore balaclavas at the time of the crime. One wore a black hooded top and the other a sky blue hooded top.
No shots were fired and the taxi driver was not injured in the incident.
Police believe the suspects may have been injured after the collision.
