Dig out your plastic vampire teeth and slap on some face paint - it's almost Halloween in Kirklees.

On Thursday, thousands of children will take to the streets in search of some sweet treats - and a few tricks.

But there's also scores of organised events come Halloween across the borough.

Get in the Halloween mood and take a scary trip round Huddersfield - you'll never look at the town centre the same way again Leaving from the LBT courtyard, take a stroll through Huddersfield's haunted streets, as your guide tells tales of ghosts and ghouls that will make you shiver and help - including spooky stories about our very own LBT.

There are three walks taking place throughout Halloween: a family friendly 2.00pm, then 7.00pm and 9.00pm for adults. Fancy dress welcome!

The Spook Shop

Entry is free and kids leave with a goody-bag of Halloween treats.

The brainchild of theatre company, Brick Wall Ensemble, The Spook Shop is inviting children and their parents – if they're not too scared – to visit the interactive Halloween experience from today.

Situated on the upper level of the Packhorse Shopping centre, beside the building's community arts space, the free installation aims to excite and scare, with a few hidden surprises along the way.

From a terrifyingly sinister clown, to a Silence of the Lambs-esque crazed maniac, this one's not for the faint hearted.
