THE reasons why a husband and father killed himself remain a mystery, an inquest heard.

Richard Fox, who was 52, was found by his daughter hanged in the garage of his home on Foxroyd Avenue in Mirfield on the morning of August 11, 2009.

His wife thought he had gone to work that morning as normal, coroner Roger Whittaker heard.

The Bradford inquest heard Mr Fox had never seen a doctor for depression and there was no obvious reason for his suicide.

Coroner’s officer Peter Rose said: “He had left no indication. This has been the mystery all the way through.

“His reasons for ending his life in that way have been unclear from day one.”

Mr Whittaker recorded a suicide verdict.
