Clothes Aid pledge

A COMPANY running doorstep collections on behalf of charities has stressed it does an essential job. Clothes Aid, which collects across the country on behalf of various charities, was responding to plans by Kirklees Council to bring in a permit system for collectors. The council is concerned at a growing number of bogus collectors. Michael Lomotey, of Clothes Aid, said: “We are fully contracted clothes collectors who over the years have raised over £6m for our partners including the NSPCC and the Make-A Wish foundation.”
