CALDERDALE people are to have their say on policing.

West Yorkshire Police Authority – which oversees policing on behalf of the

public – is hosting its annual Policing Plan consultation event in the area.

Anyone who lives or works in Calderdale can go to the event which takes place on Tuesday, November 13, at the Holiday Inn Hotel, Clifton, Brighouse.

It starts at 7pm with registration from 6.30pm.

Calderdale councillor Geraldine Carter, a member of the police authority, said “We will be discussing issues that are important to people, such as neighbourhood policing, counter-terrorism activity and the police budget.

“We shall also be giving people the opportunity to influence local priorities in the policing plan.’’

The event will finish with a question and answer session.
