HEARTBROKEN parents have lost their entire collection of children's photos in a burglary.

The couple, of Pollard Street, Fartown, discovered the callous theft on Saturday morning.

A video camera, camcorder and digital camera packed with moving images and stills of their four youngsters were taken in the raid.

The couple were temporarily separated from their children because of illness in the family.

They are now battling through the courts to be reunited with the children.

They are appealing for help from the public in getting the equipment or images returned.

The burglars stole a JVC digital video camera, Samsung camcorder and digital camera valued at about £2,000.

The break-in took place some time on Friday night.

The thieves also stole a handbag containing train passes, which means the couple cannot now even afford to travel to see their offspring.

The father said: "Those are the only pictures we've got of our kids. It's the only video footage we have."

Some of the film shows the youngsters playing happily in a park.
